The product is awful, it does not work, my cats still have fleas and are miserable 2weeks after applying it. Do not waste your money, buy advantage, it's expensive but it actually works. I called the company to complain and I have to pay the shipping to return the 1 package I didn't throw away. It's a wash to return it. Do not buy from this company!

I'm on a tight budget and my cat has recently become and outdoor cat, which has lead to her getting some fleas. She was scratching violently for 2 days and I knew I had to do something..and quick so I checked online and took a crap when I saw the prices of some of the flea treatments..frontline, advantage, etc. Anyway, I went to petsmart as I had a coupon for $5 off and picked up this sentry purrscriptions plus as it was a fraction of the price. 4 month's worth of treatments was $13.99 and after my $5 off it was basically like $9 bucks out the door. Anyway, I went home applied the stuff like the package says....on the SKIN, directly behind the head and no further then the shoulders. After I did this I waited 2 hours and saw my cat was scratching equally as much as before so I immediately went online and figured if the reviews were bad I'd just return it and give in and get frontline or advantage. But when I saw the reviews on amazon I became immediately concerned because they were talking about frothing at the mouth, poison and other horror stories, not to mention saying this stuff doesn't work. I watched my cat EXTREMELY CLOSELY BECAUSE OF THIS and saw no changes in her behavior, but she was still scratching all that first night AND THE NEXT MORNING.
So I said Alright, this stuff is junk and went online and purchased the Advantage II 6 month supply from amazon. Like Murphy's Law, about an hour or two after I purchased the advantage II, I noticed my cat was NOT scratching. I watched her closely throughout that afternoon and night and saw her scratch a total of ONE TIME and it was a relatively quick scratch. The next day I saw her scratch ONE TIME...another quick scratch. Yesterday, I saw her scratch NOT ONCE and today so far she has not scratched ONCE! Now mind you I applied this stuff 3 days ago, so it appears it just takes about 24-36 hours to have a full effect. The Advantage and frontline products seem to get such great ratings because they work within 30 minutes or less. The thing is, those products are 4 TIMES THE PRICE so I am really unsure of what I'm going to do at this point. I may return the Advantage II. I'll wait and see if my cat starts scratching violently again. As of right now this Sentry product has definitely worked...the question is for how long? It states like the other products it lasts about a month...so I think i'll wait another 2 weeks and assuming I see my cat fine in 2 weeks, I'll return the Advantage II knowing I still have 3 more applications of the Purrscriptions Plus. I'll update this thread in ~2 weeks when I know whether this treatment is still effective or not. If it's still effective in 2 weeks, then I'd probably change my rating from 4 stars to 5
