I've used this for many years and it's a great product for use on carpets, furniture and similar surfaces. However, make sure the area is well-ventilated. It not only kills any fleas or ticks that may have wandered in, it also breaks the life cycle of the fleas so they don't reproduce.
The product can also be put on a cloth and wiped on a pet, but only with extreme caution. Never use it on animals under 8 weeks old, and don't let pets into the areas or around the furniture that's been sprayed until the fumes have dissipated. The fumes can adversely affect adult cats and have especially negative affects on young animals.
If used as directed, this is a wonderful product and well worth the money.

These VetKem products are the BEST!I've used them for 20 years on MANY pets and have always been totally satisfied with the product's capability. I've never experienced any adverse reactions with any of my critters either! I'm pleased!
