Customer Reviews
I bought this on sale, figuring it was worth a try since it was significantly cheaper than Advantage or Frontline. What I didn't realize until I went to apply it was that the dose you apply is MUCH larger in volume than those other brands...probably 3-4 times as much. With Advantage, the cats have a greasy spot on the back of their head for a couple of days. With this stuff, it is a huge patch, and it persisted for at least a week. Which meant it got on the furniture, rugs, etc. As far as I know, it worked OK to repel fleas (they didn't get any). But it's too messy, unless your cats are 100% outdoor cats.
This needs to be taken off the market. I bought this from Drs. Foster and Smith because of the price. It's such a mess and takes up to a week to dissipate on the cat. A couple of my cats acted as if it was stinging them and the others acted ill. I had returned the product and explained why and was refunded. I told my vet about the problem and he said to NEVER use this stuff. It's very toxic. He had experienced sick cats and lost 3 because of it. Why this is still marketed is beyond me. I suppose if one doesn't really care about the animal it's a good deal.
